Feature Description
Cost+ Markup is a pricing method used when the price of the product depends on its assigned cost. Each product can be decomposed into technical elements, called Resources. This is described by the Feasibility Strategy of the Product. To enable automated product decomposition, you can use the default package strategy, called Resource-Based.
Each of the Resources can have its price assigned, based on its Pricing Strategy selected. You can also use the default package strategy - Standard Flat Pricing.
To enable product price, based on additional costs, you need to mark the Resource to be Included Resource in Item Price. Moreover, you can also input the Target Markup, which then will be included in the product price calculation.
Based on the above, during Feasibility Initiation, the Solution Elements will have the information from the Resources populated. If it has the proper configuration and Include Resource in Item Price was selected, there will automatically be a charge created. Such a charge is visible in the charges component and has the same name as the Resource. The charge is calculated based on the pre-defined Resource price and its Target Markup, as follows:
Charge Value = Defined Cost + Defined Cost * Target Markup.
During Feasibility Process, the Target Markup and Include in Item Price fields can be changed on the exact Solution Element that they concern. This will cause an update, creation, or removing the assigned charge.
Additional Remarks
Right now the charge name, created based on the Cost+ markup method, cannot be changed.
