BSS Advanced Product Pricing Methods

This section contains detailed information about possible pricing methods for products. Depending on the complexity of your product, you may want to choose one of the advanced methods to define prices:

  • Standard List - this is the basic model. Product price is based on its corresponding price book value - to learn more about basic pricing configuration, please refer to Charges article

  • Custom Table - this pricing model allows to define charges that are based on the values of product characteristics, such as attributes or customer location

  • Cost Plus Markup (Product Level) - this pricing model is used when the final product price is based on its cost. Whereas it does not require values from a price book entry, costs must be defined for such products

  • Cost Plus Markup (Solution Element Level) - this pricing model is used when the final product price is based on its cost. Unlike Product Level Cost Plus Markup, this pricing generates charges directly based on solution element configuration and can be used simultaneously with other pricing methods

  • Related Product Percentage - this pricing model is used for products that are not bought as a standalone offering. Their prices are based on the price of a primary product

  • Charges Applicable to Multiple Products - this is used when the same charge can be applied to multiple products without having to build similar pricing structure multiple times
