Service Management

Service Management

Available in: Enxoo for Communications

New Service is activated once the Order Item is completed. It contains all of the information which was entered on the level of Quote Line Item and then - Order Item.

Service Structure

The service record can be divided into 2 main sections:

1 - Lists of related objects and records, such as Service Order History, Service Attributes, Resources, Quote Line Items, Notes & Attachments, and Parallel Services. You can also find information about Service History.

2 - Details section - you can find general information about Service configuration, assigned account and owner, financials, locations, and lifecycle dates.

Service Naming Convention

When Services are created, the system automatically generates a name for new records. By default, it is composed of trigram SVC and a number that is automatically generated. Service naming convention can be customized by the administrator in Enxoo Settings using B2B_SERVICE_NAMING_CONVENTION.

Planned Modifications

In the Information section, there is a picklist Planned Modifications. Picklist values are set automatically, based on the following logic:

  • Service under open Opportunity - Service is currently under open Opportunity,

  • Service under open Order - Service is currently under open Order,

  • Service to be deactivated - Service is currently under open Order and it is to be dismantled,

  • No changes planned - Service is currently not under any Opportunity or Order

One Service can be added to only one Opportunity / one Order at the same time.

Service can be added to multiple Quotes which are part of one Opportunity.

Service Lifecycle Dates

In Service Lifecycle Dates section you can find 3 fields, which are automatically set, based on the following logic:

  • Service Activation Date - defines when Service was activated. It is the date of Order Completion.

  • Service End Date - Date when the contract ends. It is set based on Service Activation Date and Contract Length, Service End Date might be changed after Service renewal. The renewal extends service end date by the number of months specified on the renewal order item.

  • Service Dismantle Date - Date of Service deactivation.

On active Service with not any changes planned, you can perform changes and initiate MACD flows. This is described MACD Flows article.
